My Crazy Dog

I dearly love my crazy dog, she is a constant source of entertainment.
I hope she doesn't freak out when baby comes.

This photo is of here when we picked her at The SPCA in June last year, I think she was about 9 weeks old and wearing a blue cardy, her name was Cherie. We think she's a bull terrier and huntaway cross, but there is probably more in there. She barks and leaps like a huntaway and is stubborn like a bull terrier. She will be one year old in March.

We named her Pipi Pawson Green. Her nicknames include Pawson, Sqeaky (she makes a sqeaking sound when she yawns), Binklebonk, Sqeaklebonk, Butt Butt and Butson... there were more, but we had to narrow it down, mostly it's Sqeaky.

On Fridays before work we go to Lyall Bay for a swim and a run, this is great because it tires her out and she sleeps in my office the rest of the day. Usually we meet up with Bonnie and her dog Flo, they are best mates and rumble all the way. Pipi is a very strong swimmer, which is hard to believe, bvecuase she used to be very afraid of the water, now she'll jump in at any opportunity and gets very excited when she gets a whiff of the sea or river.

She does go mad about sticks and balls and will swim any distance to retrieve them, she then makes a soft whimpering sound, almost in ecstasy at the thought of the next throw.

She also loves the hose and the sprinkler and has her own paddling pool at home. This is all very useful stuff for cooling down a black dog in summer.
I will post up some video of her in her pool and playing with the hose, both amuse me so much I try them out on her as often as possible.
