Opp shop finds of the year

I go opp shopping when ever I can, mostly I buy books for Taane, occasionally I find clothes, fabric, utensils and cool toys. Here are two of my best finds this year, found at the local Salvation Army, the total cost $8. Sweet!

The Zoo

Man, buying that zoo pass was an awesome idea.  

We go a lot!

Last week we went with Ruby. Every time is different, but we had a great time with many animals this visit. 

I think this picture would be much better if the animal was in the wild, and I'm against keeping them in captive, kinda. But I do really see the value in zoos for protection of the animals and education. We learn so much when we go to the zoo and it makes great dinner conversation, and follow up play later. At the moment Taane likes turtles. 

These guys are always funny.

Mid-snack for the snack-a-holic, watching an Amazing Animal show featuring a pair of cockatiels, an otter and a Serval cat. 

Giraffes are a sure thing, hussies. :)

I am going to fall asleep in the car.
